Waking up takes place in this dream mind is dreaming. Since no dreamer in the dream is, or can be, a person, only the dreamer ‘exists’ to wake up. It wakes up when it retrieves the fact it is in the dream mind is dreaming, featured in The Grand Parody displaying how it fills time defending the lie it is a real person in this dream. No dreamer can defend the lie it is a real person in The Grand Parody unless mind dreams it engaged in the defection parody in the dream. The defection parody is the beginning of the lie duality is real, as if something, or someone, actually exists outside the dream mind is dreaming. This parody is a comedy precisely because nothing exists outside the dream mind is dreaming if mind is the dreamer of ‘everything,’ usually referred to as “reality” by the dreamers posing as real people in the dream.
A dreamer in this dream wakes up when it shifts from defending the lie it is a real person in this dream, to the truth it is a dreamer in this mind generated dream, filling time defending the lie it is a real person outside the dream mind is dreaming. If the dream is all inclusive, then mind is dreaming the dreamer creating duality to defend the fiction the dream is divisible into what is content in the dream and what is real outside the dream.
This is what makes this a mind generated parody: there is no duality if mind is the only dreamer there is. Mind is dreaming a dream that features the dreamers creating duality to defend the fiction they are ‘real people’ outside the dream mind is dreaming. How can a dreamer be outside the dream mind is dreaming when mind is the dreamer of the dreamers engaged in this parody in the dream it is dreaming? Dreamers who wake up in the dream often burst into laughter because it’s clear there are no people in the dream; only dreamers creating duality to defend the fiction they are real people outside the dream mind is dreaming. There isn’t even anyone to be upset about this.
In the course of working with dreamers eager to reconnect with the truth, the question always comes up, “when did the dream feature me shifting from the truth to the lie I am a real person outside the dream mind is dreaming?” This question comes up when a dreamer begins to identify how mind features it in the dream creating duality to defend the fiction it isn’t included in the dream mind is dreaming. If mind didn’t dream the dreamers creating duality to defend the fiction “reality” is real, The Grand Parody would never happen.
The Grand Parody is a parody precisely because it features the sum of all the ways the dreamers fill time in the dream with duality to defend the friction they exist as real people outside the dream mind is dreaming. Mind dreams the dreamers engaged in “The Anti-truth Game,” or TAG for short, from dreamers who display zero duality (awake), and no investment in the fiction duality will work to prove they are real people outside the dream mind is dreaming. They are in the dream flat with the fact right now is always the dream mind is dreaming, and the main event features “The Grand Parody,” or the sum of all the ways the dreamers create duality to defend the fiction ‘right now’ is real and not more of the sam dream.
As TAG increases, the dreamers in the dream devote more time in the dream to the defense of the lie duality can prove the dreamer is a real person outside the dream mind is dreaming. When you wake up in the dream, you are free to witness how much and what kind of duality all the dreamers create to defend the lie they are real people having real lives outside the dream mind is dreaming. What the dreamers don’t want to know is that all of this activity can only be content in the dream mind is dreaming. A dreamer in the dream can’t know the truth, consciously, and successfully defend the fiction it is a real person, simultaneously.
The dream includes amnesia to obscure the fact mind is the dreamer of this parody, and that it is only content in a dream. Amnesia makes it possible for the dreamer to dismiss truth in order to fill time in the dream defending the lie duality will prove the dreamer is a real person outside the dream. As amnesia subsides, truth comes through the fog bank to reveal that right now is the dream mind is dreaming, and that includes all the ways the dreamers depend on the lie duality is real to defend the fiction defection from mind is possible. Since duality can’t work to defend the fiction defection from mind is possible, right now is “The Grand Parody” mind is dreaming. Once you wake up, you are set free to watch this spectacle objectively as content in the dream mind is dreaming. Wei Wu Wei refers to this as “apperception,” or “direct seeing.” Amnesia is the filter mind includes in the dream to make this parody possible. This is a parody because it doesn’t include people, only dreamers featured creating duality to defend the fiction they can prove they are ‘real people’ outside the dream, some place referred to, laughably, as “reality.” This is why “Lazarus” laughed.” Indeed, what could be funnier than being in a dream depending on the fiction defection from mind is possible (duality) to defend the fiction in the dream you are some kind of a person, and, more often than not, a real ‘not okay person,’ thanks to the lie duality is real. If defection from mind isn’t possible, how many real, ‘not okay people’ are there?
In the course of working with dreamers in this dream, it is clear the dream includes trauma in the dream; an event in the dream the dreamer views as a real event outside the dream and not more content in the dream. If the dream is inclusive, or non dual, then nothing exists outside the dream if mind is the dreamer of the dream in its entirety. Trauma in the dream is the moment in the dream a dreamer makes the shift from being a dreamer in the dream to the fiction it is a real, less than okay, damaged person, outside the dream. This shift takes place as an event in the dream. Trauma triggers the shift from the non dual, nothing is any more real than content in a dream, to the fiction the traumatic event wasn’t included in the dream. If there is no such thing as duality, then nothing exists outside the dream mind is dreaming, including ‘traumatic events.’
Once you begin to look into the interior of the ‘traumatic event,’ you begin to identify what’s traumatic about the traumatic event, and, on the surface it looks like it is the event itself, like the day “daddy will killed in the war,” or “the day I found out I was adopted,” to name a few on a huge list of ‘traumatic events’ included in the dream. In order to defend the fiction “traumatic events exist outside the dream,’ in defense of the friction duality is real, the dream features the dreamers creating duality by defending the fiction a real person was damaged by a real traumatic event outside the dream mind is dreaming. The dream features all the ways the dreamers in the dream defend the fiction traumatic events exist outside the dream mind is dreaming. In the dream, this is the moment when a dreamer creates duality by insisting it was once a real, okay person, and then it was damaged by a traumatic event, as if the event wasn’t part of the dream.
If there is no one to be ‘damaged by a traumatic event,’ this being only an event in the dream the dreamer will use to play the part of a ‘damaged person,’ then what is traumatic about the ‘traumatic event?’ The truth of what that is exists, but amnesia, understandably, relegates it to the back of consciousness because it threatens to expose the fact that everything can only be content in this dream, including ‘traumatic events.’ The traumatic event opens the window to truth, exposing the fact that because right now is only a mind generated dream, it can’t, by definition, include people, so there is no one to run any part of the dream. The dream features where the dreamers in the dream are with the fact control doesn’t exist. Think of how much the dream features the dreamers filling time defending the fiction control will prove they are real people in this dream.
What is traumatic about ‘the traumatic event’ is that it indicates that there is no such thing as control, and no dreamer can defend the lie it is a person in this dream if there is no one to have control. The ‘traumatic event’ threatens to reveal that in the absence of people, this being a dream, control doesn’t exist. This alludes to the deeper awareness that mind is free to dream “reality” any way it wants to, and that in the absence of people, the dream includes everything, just the way it manifests, including ‘someone being adopted,’ as content in the dream.
How many dreamers use the traumatic event called “divorce” in the dream to play the part of a ‘devastated person’ for the duration of their appearance in the dream? Since divorce can only be an event in the dream, it has absolutely nothing to do with people, and that’s the dreamer’s problem in the dream: it will use trauma in the dream to create duality to defend the fiction divorce is a real event outside the dream.
Once the dream featuring the dreamer using trauma in the dream to do personhood believably in the dream, it must defend the lie trauma is real by playing the part of a ‘person devastated by trauma,’ over and over again, expecting duality will confirm that someone exists to be devastated by events in the dream. We are living in a sea of dreamers immersed in the story they were damaged by ‘traumatic events,’ as if they existed as ‘real events’ outside the dream. When a dreamer wakes up, it retrieves how it used trauma in the dream to play the part of some kind of a less than okay person from that point on in the dream. The dream features how the dreamers keep trauma in place as real events in the dream to defend the fiction the dreamer in the dream is a ‘real, less than okay person.’
Think of how many dreamers in this dream dismiss the fact there is no one to run a single thing by playing the part of someone who is ‘running their life in the dream?’ In the extreme, we even call them “control freaks,” alluding to the fact we suspicion they are engaged in over-kill in The Grand Parody. What makes trauma ‘traumatic’ in the dream is that it reminds the dreamer in the dream, in spite of amnesia, that there is no one running anything, because that’s not possible in a dream. Duality keeps the lie in place trauma exists outside the dream and isn’t more content in the dream. The non dual always threatens to reveal that the dream unfolds exactly the way mind is dreaming it, including dreamers engaged in the fiction control will prove they are ‘real people.’ If this is a dream, who exists outside the dream to run anything, ever?
Waking up makes it possible for the dreamer to end the story it uses in the dream to defend the lie it was damaged by ‘traumatic events,’ as if the dream didn’t include ‘them’ as part of the dream. Waking up always includes the shift back to the truth there is no one to have anything wrong with them, literally, and the seeing of this spells the end of what Wei Wu Wei refers to as “bondage.” If everything can only be content in the dream mind is dreaming, who exists to be “in bondage?”
In the next installment, I will look at how the dream features the dreamer defending the lie they are in bondage to defend the lie they are real people outside the dream mind is dreaming. In this dream, “bondage” is synonymous with duality.
