Part 1: Looking At ‘The Shift’
From this point on, everything in this blog includes excerpts from the book I am writing, as a preview of its content. The name of the book is “The Dreamer’s Guide to Reality.” Language as we use it isn’t sufficient to understand the true nature of “reality,” therefore from this point on I will use and explain the shift in language from the standard view of reality to what looms as a much more accurate view of reality. Standard language services the fiction everything is what we insist it is, and the shift in language explains why we defend standard language as accurate. If truth exists, then we can look forward to language that comes out of what the truth is. Standard language defends the lie truth is false, or doesn’t exist. The shift in language is from the lie to the truth. The language we use is diagnostic for where anyone is right now with the truth. ‘The awakened state’ no longer uses standard language because its goal is to defend the fiction truth is false, and it isn’t.
Anyone is eligible to make the shift from the lie to the truth, but where you are with the truth right now, consciously, reflects where you are with the truth. The words we use reveal where we are with what the truth is. Our actions reveal where we are with the truth. Our feelings reveal where we are with the truth. Truth exists, and everyone displays, whether they know it or not, where they are right now with the truth. Once you wake up, or make the shift from the lie to the truth, the content of your presentation changes.
Others will say, “what is going on with you, something has changed.” If they are busy living the lie they will know, without knowing why or how, that you are no longer living the lie. This is viewed with a mixture of fear and envy because everyone knows at some pre-conscious level, what the truth is. They are just as eligible to make the shift, too, but they ‘know’ that’s not in the cards right now. Our eligibility stems from the fact truth is what we are and can only be. Truth is what everyone is, all the time, under all circumstances, and our presentation in life reveals where we are with what that is, somewhere between total acceptance and total rejection, and everything in between.
Once you make the shift, everyone becomes transparent because you know what the truth is and where they are right now with what that is. Because truth is what everyone is, their presentation displays how they fill time living the lie. You get to bear witness to their suffering because the lie we live is at odds with the fact truth is fixed, permanent and non negotiable. Truth can be viewed as a constant, and time displays the degree to which we fill time pretending we can prove truth is false. If truth is what we are, pretending we can prove truth is false explains the origin of comedy. In the extreme, defending the lie we are living, manifests as tragedy. Consciousness is the context for where everyone is with the truth, and the degree to which they fill time living the lie. Humor includes the fact that consciousness is the truth, and it displays how the vast majority of us fill time living the lie while situated in the truth. Nothing can take place outside of consciousness because consciousness is all there is.
The book I am writing is for anyone who is interested in the concept of truth, the dynamics of suffering, and why living the lie is so popular. The goal of the book is to assist anyone to identify what the truth is, where they are with what it is, including the fact they can only be what it is, and how they fill time engaged in “The Grand Parody,” or what it takes to live the lie, convincingly.
Truth includes who we are and where we are with who we are, either one with the truth, or filling time pretending we can prove we exist outside of consciousness, which is not only not possible, it is comedic. Humor always accompanies the shift from who we pretend to be, back to the fact we can’t defect from who we are no matter how devoted we are to this parody. Who we are, as truth, exists as a constant, and “reality” is the setting in which we display how we fill time living the lie defection from truth is possible. If consciousness is what the truth is, and it is all there is, then pretending we exist outside of that, as if it has an ‘outside,’ defines comedy. Humor expands exactly as fast as we reconnect with how we fill time defending the fiction we exist outside of consciousness. Everyone is always funny, whether they know it or not, precisely because that’s not possible. Diagnostically, these are clear signs we are living the lie as if defection from consciousness is possible, including ’seriousness.’ It is serious business defending the fiction defection from consciousness is possible because it isn’t possible. Are we the butt of a huge joke? The truth is, truth is even funnier than that!
Since consciousness reveals that the vast majority of us are busy living the lie as if we can prove we exist outside of consciousness, what stands between the truth we dismiss and the lie we occupy as a parody, is amnesia. When you wake up, it is obvious that the closer you are to the fact truth is what you are, the lower the level of amnesia. Conversely, the more we fill time living the lie, the more amnesia shields us from what the truth is, which we are busy pretending we can defect from. If truth is what we are, and no one can defect from what that is, amnesia is what you pay attention to when you are awake. Amnesia shows up a unconsciousness feigning ‘consciousness.’
Language, for example, reveals exactly where anyone is right now with the fact truth is what they are and can only be. Behavior serves as a clear index of where anyone is right now with the fact truth is what they are. Defending the fiction we can prove truth is not what we are shows up as anger, sometimes in the form of depression, and fear, that we know and pretend we don’t know, “the option to defect from the fact truth is what we are is zero.” Fear serves as a clear index of where we are with the fact nothing we do can prove defection from truth (consciousness) is possible. Fear dominates “reality” because the option to defect from truth is zero, and amnesia shields us from this fact so we can fill time pretending we can achieve the goal of defection. Since that isn’t possible, time is the vehicle for this parody. Time is the context in which you can watch how everyone fills time engaged in “The Defection Parody,” mostly refusing to identify this is a huge parody.
The key point is, the disparity between the fact truth is what we are and can only be, and the degree to which we fill time pretending we can prove truth is false, explains the origin of suffering. Suffering is the price we pay for filling time engaged in “The Defection Parody,” which we can abbreviate from now on as TDP. Notice that standard language services the lie we are living, while the shift from the lie to the truth about the truth introduces new language, like TDP, for example. The use of this term represents the beginning of the new language we can play with from now on. In the name of brevity, you will end up with a list of acronyms, a short hand language for talking about the dynamics of “The Grand Parody,” which we can abbreviate as TGP. As you wake up, you will find the new language is closer to the truth about the truth. New language comes out of the truth, and standard language services TDP.
Suffering serves as proof we are engaged in TDP, somewhere between some of the time, to all of the time, and somewhere between the two. When you wake up, what comes into focus is that there is a clear connection between our investment in TDP and degree of suffering, either self inflicted, other inflicted, or both. Suffering is the best index of where anyone is right now with the fact truth is what they are. As a rule, waking up results in a decline in suffering as you shift from living the lie to living with the truth, consciously, and, conversely, suffering expands the more we fill time engaged in TDP within TGP. All of this is transparent and obvious once you wake up.
The goal of the book I am writing is to assist the reader to explore the relationship between suffering and the degree to which they engage in TDP within TGP. The reader gets to test this out to see if it is true or not. Your own suffering changes depending on where you are with the truth about the truth, and the degree to which you engage in TDP, as if you believe defection from consciousness is possible. Suffering serves as indirect proof for the rule, “the option to defect from truth is zero.” Suffering increases the more we engage in TDP, and declines as truth comes into focus. The problem is, amnesia intends to keep truth “out of sight and out of mind” in order to dismiss it as false. The truth is, we can’t know the truth consciously and engage in TDP simultaneously and defend the lie we can prove truth is false. Amnesia shields us from the truth so we can fill time engaged in TDP. Truth is always what we are, and amnesia obscure this fact so we can engage in TDP.
In the next installment, I will provide the parameters for TGP, since this defines “reality” as the setting in which we display our level of devotion to TDP.
So, your words locate you in the spacetime of the evolution of consciousness, correct? Your post was interesting to me because my evolving position in spacetime has brought me to a somewhat similar perspective with a different conclusion. But that should be no surprise. We cannot occupy the same position, and therefore will never have the same ‘perspective’ on truth. I wholeheartedly agree that most of what we are ‘told’ are lies. Amazing how free one feels when that is realized. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
