The Critical Moment

When you are stuck in the fiction someone has a history, you scan their history to detect what happened to damage their self. A huge percentage of us live in the story we were damaged by ‘bad events’ in a ‘bad past.’ This is expressed as a ratio between our memory of ‘the good’ and ‘the bad,’ with a net gain conclusion about ‘our life.’ If ‘the‘bad’ is greater than ‘the good,’ time features us firmly entrenched in “The Victim Parody,” possibly for the duration of our life. We all know, without knowing exactly why or how, who is living the life of ‘the victim.’ The lower our awareness, the less we see what we are witnessing is a parody. As awareness expands, what seemed obscure, comes into focus as totally transparent. It shows up in the language we use to decorate the parody we occupy. It shows up in body language, posture, gait, and fluidity. It shows up in our narrative about the view we hold about life in general, and people in particular. Once we lock into the victim parody, it runs perception, action, drama, feelings, and ‘choice,’ like who can we marry that will complement the drama we occupy.

Wei Wu Wei makes it very clear that ‘history’ is what mind is dreaming. What most of us refer to as “events” are actually content in the dream mind is dreaming. If mind is all there is, then history, in its entirety, is what mind dreamed, including huge events dreamers, posing as people, discuss as real historical events outside the dream mind is dreaming. The dream mind is dreaming is what “history” is, including the timeline we refer to as “history.” The shift from the fiction people have a history, to the truth dreamers have a ‘history’ in the dream, comes into focus slowly, usually with a sense of incredulity.

Dreamers posing as people in this dream defend ‘the very real’ by discussing events in the dream as if they were people-based events. If right now is the dream mind is dreaming, then nothing in the dream is, or can be, people-based. The dream displays how the dreamers in the dream treat events in the dream as if all events exist outside the dream (mind is dreaming).

Memory services the lie events were real and not events in this dream. If all events can only be events in the dream, then the job of memory is to defend the fiction all events exist outside of the dream. Memory is essential in this dream to defend the fiction “reality” is real and not the dream mind is dreaming. Dreamers, posing as people, depend on the fiction someone’s memories are valid: they serve as ‘the reference point’ for the creation of the self.

If you pay close attention to our use of words, how many times a day do we define our day by the memories that run our view of life as a real event? The lie the self is real depends on the lie memories were about real events in a real reality. All of this takes place as content in this dream, and illuminates how the dreamers in this dream keep life in place with the fiction memories were real, and not the conclusions dreamers rely on to play the part of some kind of a person in this dream.

If we back up the film, what comes into focus is that mind is dreaming “The Whole Show” the dreamers, posing as people in the dream, refer to as “reality.” Mind is dreaming “reality,” featuring TAG, or “The Anti-truth Game” mind features the dreamers playing in this dream. If right now is the dream mind is dreaming, then nothing has anything to do with people. The seeing of this accurately takes you to the origin of humor. It’s a complex charade, and almost all D’s agree to keep “The Secret.”

Mind’s math manifests as no D(reamer) is, or can be, a P(erson) in this mind generated dream. TAG features the sum of all the ways the dreamers in this dream use memory to lock in the lie someone not only has a self, but they self they have was damaged by ‘bad events’ in a ‘bad past.’ TAG features the person-based parody every dreamer in this dream occupies to maintain the fiction 1) right now is real, and not a mind generated dream, and 2) that all the people are ‘real people’ struggling with a ‘damaged self.’ Humor includes the awareness that mind is dreaming this as “The Main Event” in this dream, and that no D is a P and all the D’s in the dream are busy using memory to drag out the fiction they are a real, less than okay P. If there is no one to be any kind of a P, TAG is “The Grand Parody” mind is dreaming.

TAG is what there is to watch ‘going on’ right before your eyes, so to speak. A dreamer stuck in the fiction it is a real P, and not a D dong P in this dream, can’t view TAG directly or accurately. The more a D wakes up in the dream, the faster it identifies that the dream mind is dreaming features D’s using ‘history’ to do P convincingly in this dream. There are no P’s if right now is only a mind generate dream; only D’ s in the dream playing the game of TAG. Mind is dreaming everything as content in this dream.

Since no D can be a P, if right now is the dream mind is dreaming, then the idea someone exists to be “enlightened” is patently absurd. The dream is loaded with D’s playing the part of “enlightened people” in this dream, but that parody is part of TAG. Who could exist to be “enlightened” if no D is or can be a P in this mind generated dream? This parody is a mind generated parody because it is “The Main Event.” Seriousness gives way to laughter the faster you realize there are no P’s, only D’s delivering their best personhood impersonation in this dream. In the absence of people, your respect for mind’s ingenuity shows up as amazement. How funny are you in this dream defending the fiction a D is a some kind of a P, using the invented self as proof for this fiction?

This takes us to “The Critical Moment,” which we can abbreviate as TCM. Young dreamers in this dream have no self, no memories, no story, nothing yet to play the game of TAG in this dream. They don’t even know they are a D in a dream. They are what right now is, with no investment in the fiction called “duality.” Sooner or later, you will notice, if you pay attention to children in this dream, that the dream features them shifting from the truth, no D is or can be a P in a dream, to the game of TAG in which they begin to treat events in the dream as events in reality. This is the beginning of memory and the creation of the self.

Mind features this shift as “The Main Event” in this dream: every D in the dream will treat events in the dream as if they exist outside the dream to make memory real. The lie someone has a self depends on the lie memories involve real events and not events in the dream. The dream is the sum of the ‘events’ mind includes in this dream, including, for example, the fiction someone had a childhood. Who could have a ‘childhood’ if everything can only be content in this mind generated dream. All D’s get to use events in the dream to construct the myth childhood is a real event outside of the dream. If mind is dreaming this dream in its entirety, nothing in it involves ‘real people,’ only D’s personalizing events in the dream to generate a ‘personal history.’

Everyone you know or meet in this dream is a D doing P in this dream, using their personalized history to do P convincingly in this dream. Since no D is or can be a P, even with a memory based, personalized history, you will notice that what goes with this parody is ‘self consciousness.’ All D’s know, at some preconscious level of knowing, that No D is a P and the self D uses in the dream to deliver its personhood parody is bogus. D’s stance as a ‘real person’ in this dream is understandably precarious, since the parody it delivers in this dream rides on the fiction the self is sufficient to prove a D is a P. This is what makes right now a mind generate parody: no D is a P and not even the use of the invented self has any chance to prove truth is false.

TCM often happen in response to ‘trauma’ in the dream. The dream involves the flow of what mind is dreaming, including what D’s, posing as P, refer to as “good events” and “ bad events.” Mind is the context for all events in this dream, such that this dream is made up of all the events mind dreams in this dream, with no exceptions. No event can exist as a “real event” outside this dream because this dream is what ‘everything’ is. There is no part of right now that isn’t content in this dream, including the ‘traumatic events’ D’s use in the dream to deliver “The Victim Parody,” possibly for one “lifetime.”

In the next installment I will look at what constitutes ‘ the traumatic event’ that hatches the invented, less than okay, damaged self. No D can do P convincingly without the memory of suffering to bring credibility to “The Victim Parody,” and nothing works better in this dream than living in the memory of trauma to do personhood believably in this dream. We insist we hate suffering, but truth reveals nothing supports the lie a D is a P better than reiterated suffering. All D’s have a date with the fact the dream includes suffering so D’s can do P believably in “The Grand Parody” mind is dreaming. Can a D do P believably in this dream without the belief that suffering, above all else, is real because it exists outside of this dream? if suffering is content in the dream, like everything else, then a D’s best trick is to defend the fiction suffering is the glue that keeps “reality” really real. This sheds light on why most D’s are reluctant to part with suffering. Seeing this accurately reveals that suffering is “The Master Trick” in “The Grand Parody.”
