The Shift from the Truth to the Lie

The non dual is non dual if it is true that mind is the dreamer of ‘everything’ taking place as “History.” History is a record of the dream mind is dreaming, featuring, as “the Main Event,” TAG, or the sum of all the ways mind dreams the dreamers filling time defending “The Master Lie,” that right now is real and not a dream, and that all the dreamers are ‘the people’ they impersonate.

Mind is dreaming “The Grand Parody.” What makes right now a parody is the fact it is what mind is dreaming, including TAG as “The Main Event,” featuring what it takes for the dreamers in this dream to defend the fiction they are ‘the people’ mind features them impersonating. Every dreamer in this dream, in potential, is eligible to wake up precisely because our status as dreamers in this dream exists as a fixed fact. ‘Waking up’ happens when a dreamer in the dream views TAG accurately as content in the dream mind is dreaming. This dream features the dreamers defending the fiction they are the people mind features them impersonating with their particular personhood skit, showcasing ‘the invented self’ as the centerpiece in this dream.

“Reality” is the arena that captures the sum of all the ways the dreamers defend the fiction their skit will prove truth is false. Once a dreamer steps out of the lie the skit it occupies is who the dreamer is, it accepts the fact it is a dreamer in this dream featured trying to prove truth is false with a skit. This chunk of truth usually takes time to show up, but when it does it is usually greeted with a burst of hilarity. What was obscure is now completely obvious: the dream us on, it is what right now is, and it features TAG, or the sum of all the ways dreamers reiterate the skit they occupy to defend the lie a skit will prove truth is false.

The next insight is even more astonishing: mind is dreaming this parody such that there are no people, only dreamers filling time defending that fiction with a made up skit. TAG accurately reflects the intensity of the dreamer’s addiction to the fiction a skit will work to prove truth is false. ‘Waking up’ includes watching this parody, knowing it is one; knowing it is only content in a mind generated dream. Nothing ‘going on’ involves people; that’s not possible if right now is only the dream mind is dreaming.

“Reality” accurately depicts how the dreamers in this dream use their personhood skits to prove truth is false, as if that’s possible. Irony includes the fact all the dreamers ‘know,’ at some pre-conscious level of knowing, they are defending a lie in a mind generated parody. ‘Waking up’ redefines what it means to be ‘anxious,’ or ‘insecure.’ What could be more ‘insecure’ than pretending a skit is sufficient in a dream to prove the dreamer is a person, having a ‘real life’ outside the dream, as if the dream has an ‘outside.’ There are no ‘insecure people’; only insecure dreamers. The dreamer’s ‘insecurity’ is justified: the option to prove, with a skit no less, a dreamer in a dream is a person is zero. No dreamer, regardless of its devotion to its skit, can prove truth is false. Besides, ‘trying to prove truth is false’ is “The Main Event” in this parody. The dream mind is dreaming features ‘TAG,” or the sum of all the ways the dreamers defend the fiction a skit is sufficient to prove truth is false. Is it any wonder the dreamers are nervous, embarrassed, angry, and confused? How can a dreamer win the game of TAG with a skit?

Children, as I said in the last installment, don’t show up in the dream with a skit. They are dreamers in this dream with no skit, no sense of duality, no invented self to defend as real, with nothing to do but be what they are in the dream. If ‘everything’ can only be content in this dream, then that would have to include ‘the shift from skitlessness to skit,’ from ‘no one to a specific someone.’ Because right now can only be the dream mind is dreaming, there is no one to be someone. Wei Wu Wei stressed the point in a hundred different ways, repeatedly, in all eight books. Only amnesia makes it look like he is engaged in some kind of ’spiritual metaphor,’ rather than describing the truth about mind and this parody. Telling the truth about this dream isn’t easy when the audience is featured ‘addicted to the fiction truth is false.’ Truth falls on ‘deaf ears’ until, for whatever reason, it snaps into focus, possibly for once and for good.

Since the dream is always ‘on,’ and always includes right now as content, it will include the moment in the dream when the fledgling dreamer suddenly realizes ‘right now is only a dream, there are no people, and no way to prove truth is false.’ This is the moment when most dreamers in the dream ’see truth accurately,’ if only for a split second, before the dream features them rejecting truth as false to defend “The Master Lie,” that ‘everything, including everyone, is real’ and not content in a dream, especially all the apparent people in the dream.

In theory the dream could feature a dreamer making it okay right now is only a dream, but in most cases, this is the moment the dream features the dreamer ‘filling time trying to prove truth is false.’ This is the moment in the dream when a dreamer ‘goes to war with truth,’ as if it can prove truth is false with a story, a skit and the invented self. The shift from the truth to the lie represents the dreamers entry into “The Grand Parody.” Mind is dreaming the history of this dream, featuring, as “The Main Event,” TAG, or the sum of all the ways the dreamers in this dream fill time ‘trying to prove truth is false.’ The dream features ‘the dreamers at war with truth,’ relying on their personhood skit to defend the lie right now is real and not the dream mind is dreaming.

The dream includes the moment when the dreamer makes the shift from the truth to the lie it is a person outside the dream mind is dreaming. Step one includes “the Defection Parody,” or what is required to dismiss the fact mind is the dreamer of this dream in its entirety. The parody mind is dreaming features the dreamer pretending mind is not dreaming this dream by insisting mind is gone, or doesn’t exist. The shift gives rise to ‘amnesia,’ or what it takes for the dreamer to dismiss mind as the source of the dream so the dreamer can feign defection from mind in order to pretend it isn’t content in the dream mind is dreaming.

This is the birth of the fiction called “duality.” There is no duality if mind is dreaming the dream in its entirety. The parody requires the fiction called duality so the dreamers can dismiss the fact they are always only content in this dream. The parody features the dreamers in the dream ‘dismissing truth as false’ in order to pretend mind isn’t their source. If mind is all there is, then mind is “the ultimate subject for everything,” including how the dreamers fill time pretending ‘they are real people,’ outside of the dream mind is dreaming. TAG is played against the fact truth is absolute, which makes the game of TAG a very fragile parody in the dream. Mind is dreaming the dreamers creating ‘duality’ to defend the fiction they are not part of the dream mind is dreaming. Everything the dreamers do in this dream services the lie they are ‘real people,’ having ‘real lives,’ outside the dream mind is dreaming This is a mind generated parody because mind is dreaming this as “The Main event” in the dream it is dreaming.

When a dreamer wakes up in the dream, it retrieves the fact right now is the dream mind is dreaming, featuring ‘TAG,’ or the sum of all the ways mind dreams the dreamers filling time defending the impossible lie they are not included in the dream mind is dreaming. There are no people to do anything. There are no people ‘doing’ anything. The dream is ‘on,’ as usual, depicting where all the dreamers in the dream are with the fact truth is absolute, and how they show up in the dream determined to prove truth is false. Since no dreamer in the dream can prove truth is false, suffering is the clue the dreamer is trying, unsuccessfully, to defend the lie it is a ‘real person’ outside the dream mind is dreaming.

In the next installment, we can zoom in to take an in depth look at what the dream features the dreamer creating in the dream to launch its entry into “The Grand Parody?” By way of coming attractions, this heralds the beginning of “The Victim Parody,” the context for the invented self, armed with its story, to occupy a skit to play the part of some kind of a ‘damaged person.’ Once a dreamer locks into the parody it delivers in this dream, it is locked into defending the lie it is the person it portrays in the dream. The seeing of this often initiates the process of ‘waking up’ in the dream. It begins with the faint realization that the skit you occupy is who you pretend to be, not who you are in fact.
